Heaven is 371 miles south.

Just got back from a magical four-day vacay to Santa Fe and surrounding. Soaked in the newly renovated Ojo Caliente hot springs; ate a ton of great food; seriously enjoyed heated tile bathroom floors; watched an amazing fire (yes, in a fireplace) for hours; lazily drove to and fro.

December in New Mexico is simply magical, and I highly recommend it. Pinon smoke scents the air, luminaria dot the landscape with light, and everyone seems to have this sincerely cheerful holiday vibe about them. 

But best of all, of course, I got my sweetheart all to myself for a few days.
